Moonstone or Adular as it is also called
As old as the moon itself, the woman and moonstone hold the power of mystery.
The moon represents a strong feminine energy, the rhythm of time and cycles. Each phase of the moon has its own meaning.
The moon is that a goddess and represents a mother, she represents the psyche, wisdom, instinct, birth, death, shadow, regeneration, mystery, feelings, balance and passivity.
Feminine energy is a passive energy. Because the moon rules over the tides of the oceans and seas, it will also rule over the waters within us.
The element of Water identifies most with our emotions and so the Moon rules over our emotions and our subconscious mind. What we often see on the surface does not reflect what is going on underneath, nor does it reveal its depths. The moon reflects inner knowledge and its phases are like the states of man on earth. And knowing the energies of the Moon is the first step on the path to learning how these powerful energies can be harnessed in our lives.
We can use the knowledge of the phases of the Moon to reflect on ourselves and our own needs.
I have chosen to describe here the Moon and its influence on us, because we will also be able to use the Moonstone to our advantage depending on the phases of the moon.
It is important to understand the lunar cycles, and then we will be able to use this stone to its full potential in our favor, either using its power of purification, or power in the intentions we set, or its power of manifestation, etc.
These lunar cycles are similar to that of seeds. Seeds grow into a plant, then flower and then die.
In astrology, the moon is a symbol of the soul, in the horoscope it determines the subject's capacity for reflection and adaptation. It also provides analogy for the stages of human development: the new moon is childhood, the crescent moon is youth and adolescence, the full moon is maturity and pregnancy, and the waning moon represents the decline of life, sleep.
New Moon : Symbolizes new beginnings.
This is the beneficial time to start new projects, new phases and changes in your life. This is where we plant the seeds of our new beginnings and gather our thoughts and plan for the month ahead.
Because of that and its stone, the Moonstone is called the "stone of new beginnings".
Growing Moon: Symbolic of growth, manifestation, achievement, gravity with the child both philosophically and literally. Here we think about what is the purpose of planting those seeds, whether they are thoughts, projects, etc. What are our intentions, we write them down if necessary and keep them in mind. By putting them down on paper, we enhance subconscious learning and programming. In general, I recommend that you write down everything that you feel resonates with you to more easily integrate that information on a subconscious level. Also here, on the growing moon, as is popularly known, this is the recommended period to cut our hair. It will grow much faster if it is cut on the growing Moon.
Full Moon : Symbolic of the height of power, the peak of clarity, fullness and the attainment of desire.
The moon amplifies all that we are, amplifies our thoughts and emotions. That's why whoever loves, wants the full moon. He who meditates, wants the moon full Who's a little crazy, doesn't want the full moon.
Waning Moon: it symbolizes the moment of release, surrender, quiet time, contemplation and incubation time. In the first part of the waning of the moon we will use this period to make our forgiveness. To forgive ourselves and those around us. We will forgive all our mistakes whether they were intentional or accidental.
Forgiveness will help us approach any situation from a loving perspective. Easy to say, harder to do, so we always need some extra help.
This is the time when we take stock of what has happened in the past month, what has changed in us, and we are grateful for all that we have achieved so far. It is beneficial to make a list of those things for which we are grateful to life, the universe and the creator.
It is important to know that the Moonstone strongly amplifies receptivity and alters the influences on the human body, all depending on the phases of the moon, so it is good to understand each phase separately. As the Moon waxes and wanes in cyclical perfection, it creates the tides and rhythms of the Earth and influences our behaviors, emotions, and spiritual growth.
Moonstone has a very strong water element energy. The water element in the stones produces in us a ripple in the world that is nothing but divine feminine energy, it is the yin, lunar, shakti energy, which is passive and which every man regardless of sex, has in him.
The water element is strong but yielding, without form, but which can take any form and does not let up until it enters everywhere and is clean.
All stones that have Water as their element, bring with them the power of regeneration and rebirth. At the New Moon, the Moonstone can heighten our emotions. It can activate the kundalini energy in women and the emotional balance in men (the balance of the feminine energy in them).
Rainbow Moonstone - Rainbow acts as a prism, diffusing energy throughout the aura. It provides psychic protection, clearing the mind and senses and aids in lucid dreaming. Banishes negativity and eases emotional trauma.
"Aligned with the Goddess, Rainbow Moonstones connect with the energies and spirits of Nature, from plant devas to galactic consciousness."
"Moonstone is primarily a talisman of the inner journey, taking one deep within oneself to recover what is missing, the parts of the soul left behind or forgotten, then brought to light." Simmons
